Sally-Anne is the manager and founded Hawth Gymnastics in 1986. A former National Squad gymnast (Women’s Artistic) she started Hawth Gymnastics in 1986 after competing a diploma in contemporary dance. She is the heart and soul of Hawth an no one is sure what they would do without her! Sally-Anne is most often found in the office or wandering around giving little bits of coaching expertise here and there, she is a yoga enthusiast who always brings us new and exciting stretches to try.

Amber is Sally-Anne’s daughter and has worked full time at the club since 2011. She grew up around gymnastics and refers to the gym as her second (maybe even first!) home. She is responsible for planning and running the day-to-day programme at Hawth & heads up our TeamGym coaches. She has coached gymnasts up to international level is currently a GB Technical Expert and the Southern Zonal Leader - in charge of running development TeamGym camps in the South of England.

Amy was a WAG and Floor and Vault gymnast as a child and competed in many County and Regional competitions, she has been working at Hawth for many years and teaches our development level TeamGym squads along with our recreational classes and holiday clubs

Amy was a WAG and F&V gymnast as a child, and still competes as an adult. She is also a multi-sports coach and teaches several of our preschool sessions


Charlie Osborn – Recreational & Preschool Coach

Charlie was an acrobatic and artistic gymnast as a child and has continued to compete as an adult. Charlie has worked at Hawth since our move to K2 (2005) and teaches our preschool, recreational and teen club sessions - she also heads up our academy coach programme for young coaches.


Chris Cranfield – TeamGym Coach

A former acrobatic gymnast to a very high level (silver medal at the 2010 Junior World Championships) Chris came to Hawth through our adults classes in 2014. By late 2016 he had joined our Senior TeamGym squad and has competed with them at 3 British Championships as well as representing GB at the 2018 European Championships. He began coaching TeamGym in 2017 and in 2019 was selected as a GB Technical Expert for Zonal Clinics. Chris currently works with both development and top level TeamGym squads.


Emma Hodgson – TeamGym Coach

Emma was a Women’s Artistic gymnast as a child and has been at Hawth on-and-off since before we even came to K2! Currently on maternity leave, Emma runs the administration side of our preschool classes and coaches our TeamGym squads.


Faye Barker – Lead Recreational Coach

    Faye has been with Hawth so long that she is part of the furniture - having started with us a recreational gymnasts in 1986! She has coached everything from preschool to top squads in her time with us, but since having her children she had been primarily a recreational coach. She runs the administration for new starters and oversees our recreational programme.


Helena Abdullahi - Recreational Coach

Helena was a gymnast at Hawth at our old centre when she was younger before coming back to coach as an adult. She works with our Monday recreational classes.

James has been at Hawth since he was very young, training in one of our first ever boy’s TeamGym squads - he remains a member of Senior Men’s Team, has competed at multiple British Championships and represented GB at the 2018 European Championships. James coaches our recreational classes and TeamGym development groups.


Kanisha Stapley - Preschool, Recreational & TeamGym Coach

Kanisha came to us as a young gymnast when she transferred from Women’s Artistic to TeamGym. She competed at multiple British Championships and also represented the club at international cup events. She is now retired as a gymnast but is passing on her knowledge to the next generation teaching our preschool, recreational and TeamGym classes.


Karen Saunders - Lead Preschool Coach

Karen has been involved in the club for many years - becoming involved when her (now grown up!) children started the sport, having been a gymnast and a martial artist herself when she was younger. Over the years Karen has taught almost all of the groups we offer but now she has settled in to the Head of Preschool role, using her evenings and weekends to spend time with her grandchildren.

Kim has been at Hawth since she was 8 years old. She was in our competitive squads for many years with great success before becoming a full time coach in 2008. She has coached everything from our youngest preschoolers to top squads. Kim has a flair for choreography and will work as the lead floor coach for our top TeamGym groups when she returns from maternity leave.

Marcus started gymnastics at Hawth aged 4, moving from our recreational classes in to our Men’s Artistic squads and eventually moving over to TeamGym when he was 14. Marcus has a long line of competition success behind him, including representing GB at the 2018 European Championships, he continues to be a vital member of our senior men’s team alongside his coaching. Marcus teaches our recreational and Men’s Artistic classes.

Nicola was a gymnast with Hawth at our old centre as a child and returned to us as a coach as an adult. She works with our recreational groups.


Richard Keasley - Head of Men’s Artistic

Richard joined Hawth as our Head of Men’s Artistic in 2006 (coinciding with our moved to K2). He, along with Tim, has developed our Men’s Artistic programme with great success over the last 13 years. As well at coaching our MAG boys Richard also teaches recreational classes and maintains our equipment.

Tim came to Hawth in 2005 when we moved to K2 and merged with Crawley Boys (formerly R&A Gymnastics) where he had been training since he was 7. Has a MAG gymnast Tim competed at several British Championships while simultaneously building the discipline at Hawth. Tim has also turned his hand to TeamGym, competing at three British Championships and representing GB at the 2018 European Championships. As well as Men’s Artistic, Tim also coaches in schools, recreational, freestyle and adults classes.


Tom Verco - Recreational & TeamGym Coach

Tom started at Hawth as a recreational gymnast aged 11, he eventually moved in to our TeamGym squads where he has competed and won medals at multiple British Championships. Tom did an apprenticeship at Hawth when he left school and now works with our recreational and development TeamGym groups.


Warren Jones - Preschool, Recreational & TeamGym Coach

Warren has been with Hawth since pre 2005 when we were at our old centre, he started off as an advanced recreational gymnast before becoming one of our TeamGym “originals”. Warren has worked full time at Hawth since he was 16 and has always taught nearly everything we have to offer - going in to schools, preschool, recreational. development and top level squads. Warren is still a member of our TeamGym seniors and has a long list of accolades - including representing GB at the 2018 European Championships.
