The Hawth boys had a great weekend at Maidstone. The Under 12 team came fourth overall, and the Hawth boys in the Development groups came away with 6 medals in all.

The Club competition was a great success this year, with hundred of gymnasts taking part during the day. The results are available from the web-site.

Hawth GC has a vacancy for a Recreation / Pre School gymnastics coach (minimum Level 2 in General Gymnastics) from September 2010. The vacancy is for 20 hours of work per week in school term time only.

Hawth had an exceptional day at Birmingham, with many medals won by the members of the Men's Artsitc Squad.

Well Done to the teams at the British today!! Both teams were in 2nd after 2 rotations but some very harsh (and in places questionable) judging on floor the Primarys finished 5th and the Juniors in 4th. WELL DONE GIRLS!!!!!

The gymnasts raised £788.87 for sport relief and Hawth GC contributed £250 - taking us to a grand total of £1038.87! Our top two fundraisers (who will win a prize) are Alfie White (Thursday advanced rec, £72) and Katie Brookes (Regional 2 Team Gym, £75).

There were thirteen boys in the Grades Qualifiers today, and eleven of them qualified to represent the South-east region in the finals in May. Hawth also won many of the medals during the day. All in all a great day for the club.

August 2010 will see two intriguing Women's Artistic Gymnastics Friendly Internationals in Great Britain, which will be part of the ongoing selection process for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, 8-14 October and the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands, 18-24 October 2010: GBR vs. Romania in Ipswich, 14-15 August and GBR vs. Switzerland in Gateshead, 28-29 August.

According to the Drawing of Lots held on Saturday, 24 July in Rotterdam for the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Netherlands, the British Women's Team will enter Competition 1 as part of Subdivision 6 (out of 12), along with the teams of Russia, France and Sweden.
