The Hawth Awards 2011 evening was held on 29 January 2012 at The Crawley Club.
Hawth will be running its ever popular holiday course from Monday 13th February to Thursday 16th February. Children will take part in team building activities, quizzes, poster making and much more. Full or half days are available. There is also the option to drop the children off early, and collect them late, so you can fit it in with work.
Hawth came home jingling with medals! In the South East competition the boys' teams brought home 2 gold medals, the Hunnies and Heroines brought home a silver and a bronze respectively, the Hobbits claimed a silver and Hyper Hawth brought home the gold!! In the open event Hench Hawth brought home a second gold medal and the Heroes brought home a silver to add to their gold from earlier.
A big well done to our tumblers Lily and Chloe who competed at Hollington on Sunday 30 October. Lily brought home an gold medal. Well done girls!!
This was the first time Hawth GC has hosted the Sussex Championships at K2. We hope all our members took the opportunity to come and watch the event. Hawth had a successful weekend, winning many categories within the Championships.
Hawth gymnasts had a good competition at the British Championships in Stoke. Michael Herridge scored 62.90 overall, coming 10th on pommels with a score of 11.45. Daniel Lee was placed seventh overall with a score of 72.10, coming in the top ten on many apparatus. Max Hayes scored 66.95 which placed him 19th overall.
Zach, Christian, Michael R and Ciaron from our Men's Artistic transition squad competed at their first ever competition in Pipers Vale.
The South East GymFusion event took place on Sunday 17th July at K2 Crawley. There was plenty of Candy Floss, Pop Corn & Face Painting there as well as the displays. Many of these performances were provided by the Hawth teams.
Hawth GC hosted a visit from Hong Gymnastics Club from Denmark. The Danish TeamGym squad arrived with their coaches on Saturday 25 June, and stayed with us until Monday 4 July.
Congratulations to Isabella from the Hawth four piece squad who competed in the Sussex advanced competition today and brought home a bronze medal on floor. Well done Izzy!
