Sussex Championships

9-10 October 2010, Burgess Hill

Sussex ChampionshipsHawth entered many gymnasts across many disciplines over the weekend. The Hawth gymnasts had a great weekend.

Teamgym

Hawth were busy on Saturday morning, with 6 teams entered in to the event. The club won the Regional 3, and came second and third in the Regional 2 Women's competition. Hawth teams were first in the National 3 Women, National 2 Women and National 2 Men.

Next, we look forward to the regional Championships, to beheld at K2 at the end of November.

Tumbling

There was only one competior from Hawth in the tumbling event; Lily Colclough-Saunders. She won the Elite 2 group.

Men's Artistic

There were 10 Artistic boys in the copetition on Sunday afternoon. 

Boys (age 9): Harry Harrod won this group (60.80). Kyah Ali was fourth with 51.95.

Boys (age 10): Rafe Brookes (Brighton & Hove) won. Hawth came second with Marcus Jones (60.35) , and third with Archie Baker (59.75). Jordan Colyer (59.00) and Patrick Smith (56.40) were not far behind. 

Boys (age 11-12): Daniel Lee came first with 67.90. Michael Herridge was third with 60.20. Ben Vye-Parminter scored 59.15.

Intermediate: Grant Goode won this group with 69.65. Max Hayes gained the silver, with 62.00.

Men's Floor & Vault

Tinley Hitchcock won the Junior age group.
