Hawth Gymnastics Club Competition
All Day Event - Sunday 1st July 2018
We would like to invite your child to enter the Hawth Club Competition. The day will be a competitive experience, but we will endeavour to make it fun and enjoyable for all the children taking part. The event will take place in the main hall at K2.
One Hour Recreational
Children must be at least in state school year reception to enter this competition (they must be 5 before 01/09/2018).
We are using competition criteria similar to previous years and children will compete against others of the same gender who were born in the same year (please note school year is NOT a factor). Each child will perform:
1. A Set Floor routine (see videos below)
2. Two Vaults (Highest score counting)
Both sections will be marked out of a maximum of 10.00 points. The child with the highest combined score will be the winner. The first three positions in each age group will receive a medal and all children will receive a certificate.
Two, Three & Four Hour Advanced Recreational
The children will perform routines on 3 – 4 pieces of equipment that they have been working on in their classes. Medals will be awarded to the top three in each age group, with all children receiving a certificate. The age groups will vary depending on the number of entries.
There will be an annual presentation for our recreational and advanced recreational gymnasts on the day. These awards will be presented to gymnasts we think have worked hard or achieved something special throughout this year.
There will be an entrance fee of £8 per gymnast. This fee covers the cost of the medals, certificates & hire of main hall. Payments and entries will only be accepted online.
The webpage for entries will close on Thursday 31st May. There will be no exceptions for late entries.
The day will be broken up in to approximately 5 rounds, each lasting about 2 hours. Your child will only be involved in one of these rounds. We will not be able to let you know the precise timings until we have collected all of the entries. If you have siblings of different ages it is likely they will be in different rounds.
All children must have at least one adult attend the competition, spectator tickets will be available to buy on the door on the day at the cost of £3 for adults and £2 for concessions (children under 4 sitting on laps do not need a ticket).
1-hour children born in in 2007 or before and children who train for more than 1 hour per week will have routines made up by their coaches.
